Bad driving

Sir, — While travelling on holiday recently, I was appalled at the number of inconsiderate drivers on our roads. Motorists were travelling far below the open road speed limit and caravans were not pulling over at the designated passing points to allow any build-up of traffic to pass. Through sheer frustration, motorists

were often passing at dangerous points so taking unnecessary risks nearly causing head-on collisions. As high speed is not the only factor that kills, the Ministry of Transport should be out to apprehend the slow and inconsiderate driver, who perhaps is as' much to blame for the high road toll as the fast driver. — Yours, etc.,

ANNE GEERINGS. January 13, 1986.
