All-round solution?
NZPA-AAP London Throw away the calorie counters and lettuce leaves, the latest thing in diets has arrived — a piece of string. It is the brainstorm of a London obesity expert, Dr John Garrow.
He says you simply tie the string around your waist and when it starts to feel tight it is time to cut back on the food intake,
“Most of my patients started doing it just to humour me, but they were soon convinced,” he told the “Mirror.”
Dr Garrow used the method on 40 patients’ over five years and half of them kept their weight down by refusing to let the string get tight.
