Boy rescued by lifeguard
Canterbury surf lifesavers had another quiet day yesterday, with only one person rescued at Pines Beach. An nine-year-old boy, wearing a T-shirt and shorts, had to be helped to shore by a lifeguard. His mother was swimming in the same area and was also wearing clothes.
