Central slumps
PA Palmerston North Central Districts’ batting disintegrated in the face of a steady Otago attack for a second time as it slumped to a 259-run defeat in the Shell Trophy match at Palmerston North yesterday. Set a huge target of 380 by Otago to win, Central could reach just 120, only marginally better than its first innings total of 100.
