Lead in speedway extended

PA Wellington The American, John Cook, increased his over-all lead in the Ivan Mauger champion world speedway series after first and second placings at Nelson and Cromwell.

The Englishman, Simon Wigg, headed Cook home at Cromwell on Friday, but the American returned to winning form on Saturday night winning the tenth round final at Nelson.
