Milk powder deal
PA Wellington The Dairy Board has negotiated its biggest sale of wholemilk powder to the Soviet Union in a deal worth $45 million.A contract was signed in Wellington yesterday with
representatives of Prodintorg, the Soviet food importing authority, the board said. The sale is for 22,000 tonnes of wholemilk powder which together with an earlier sale this year brings the total to 26,000 tonnes.
