Save the Children Fund
Sir, — On behalf of the North Canterbury branch of the Save the Children Fund, I thank all the wonderful people who helped in so many ways during the year, making it possible for S.C.F. to continue its work, both locally and overseas, to help children who suffer the effects of poverty, famine, war, natural disasters and displacements from their homes. The S.C.F. has worked for more than 60 years in situations of desperate need, and given hope to millions of children. All our work in New Zealand is voluntary. I know you will enjoy the festive season. — Yours, etc., (Mrs) EVA GILMORE, President S.C.F. December 18, 1985.
