In these days of professional bowls, the prizemoney offered at a Dominion tournament is nothing wonderful. The winners in each event will receive a trophy voucher to the value of $225, the runners-up $lBO and the third place-getters $llO. These vouchers only apply to amateurs; professionals
can take their earnings in the form of a cheque. But while the Dominion might not make anyone rich, it still has enormous prestige value. And this no doubt is the reason why a Dominion title is still the dream of all bowlers. It is an achievement which is never forgotten. __
