N.Z.F.A. to protest
PA Auckland The New Zealand Football Association is to protest against Israel’s reported inclusion in the Oceania group for the Olympic Games elimination soccer series. The chairman of the New Zealand Football Association, Mr Charlie Dempsey, said last ’T will be attending a
F.I.F.A. meeting in May where the whole thing will be discussed and I will make very strong protests against Israel being included.” In Dempsey’s view, no country outside the Oceania confederation — New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Taiwan — should contestfthe series. -
