Hockey team in with Pakistan
NZPA-Reuter London New Zealand will play in the same group as the Olympic champion, Pakistan, at the 1986 World Cup hockey tournament to be staged in London, from October 4 to 19. The Netherlands, Argentina, England and Russia were the other nations included in the group when the draw was made by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) yesterday. Group B in the competition will comprise Australia, Canada, West Ger-
many, India, Poland and Spain. The FIH also announced that the teams for the eighth Champions’ Trophy competition in Karachi, Pakistan, from April 4 to 11 next year would be the same six which played in the seventh edition held in Perth last month. That excludes New Zealand, which failed to qualify for Perth when it finished seventh at the Lbs Angeles. Olympics. The six teams are Australia, Britain, India, the Netherlands, Pakistan and West Germany.
