Easy Chch B win over N. Canty
The Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association senior B representative side easily beat North Canterbury at Boon Hay Park on Sunday. The suburban team, batting first, made 154, Rob Withers top scoring with 49, and an opening batsman, Ray Steele, contributing 34. North Canterbury was dismissed for 92, with Withers
taking four cheap wickets. Scores:— Suburban 154 (R. Withers 49, R. Steele 34, R. Carruthers 25; D. Flynn 2/23, J. Hamilton 2/12, A. Ridden 2/ 32, W. Masefield 2/35) beat North Canterbury 92 (T. Johnston 24; Withers 4/20, Carruthers 2/14).
A return match will be played at Ashley on February 9.
