Expo ’86
Sir,—More than 50 million potential Japanese tourists visited Expo ’B5, near Tokyo, earlier this year. After seeing the thrilling pavilions of Canada, Australia, and Indonesia, one looked in vain for New Zealand’s. Even the Seychelles and Fiji were there. With tourism topping ?1 billion, surely the ?1M to make an appearance at Vancouver next year is not excessive. So Mr Moore,. Air New Zealand, et al, how about •commandeering Sir Ronald Scott and a well-picked task force? After all there - is just over four months to go. — Yours, etc., C. H. DOBSON. December 12, 1985.
