El Victory again
PA Camara El Victory recorded his second win on end in the D.B. Waimate Cup, the first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Waimate Trotting Club’s meeting at Oamaru on Saturday. After being well placed on the outside by Robin Butt, he surged to the front when the field turned for home to score an impressive win.
Elbon Blue, always handy on the inside, got up for second at long odds. The win favourite, Talisman, began smoothly from the front line, got back on the rails, but burst through on the turn to get up for third, nudging out Reiver, which put up a mighty performance for fourth. ,
Passover settled back in the field and made her run wide 400 m out but had to be content with sixth.
