PA Auckland The leading riders, Lance O’Sullivan and Gary Grylls, were suspended up to, and including Saturday for careless riding at Avondale on Saturday. The judicial committee found O’Sullivan let his mount, Document, shift inwards about 150 m from the finish and hamper Curved Air in the Governor General’s Cup. Grylls let his mount, Te Akau Prince, shift ground outwards when not clear of Mr Ex about 200 m from the finish of the December Maiden. Trudy Archer, the rider of The Hussar in the Oakley Highweight, was suspended up to and including Wednesday for careless riding. The committee found that she allowed her mount to move outwards when not clear of Lovela about 300 m out. John Hayes, the rider of In Profile in the Waitakere Handicap, was fined $l5O for causing interference to Glen Show and Asian Connection within the first 200 m.
