Prize-winner leaves
A Guatemalan who won SUS2 million (SNZ3.S million) in a Californian state lottery was ordered to leave the United States because he had entered the country illegally. Julio Morales, aged 23, had surrendered to Federal officials and admitted that he was an illegal alien, said a spokeman for the United States Immigration and Naturalisation Service. Lottery officials said that Mr Morales would be allowed to keep his winnings. .Mr Morales, a construction worker, said that he had gone to the United States two years ago from the Guatemalan village of Suchitepequa He wanted to buy a house in Los Angeles and invest in the construction industry with bis winnings. — Los Angeles.
