Tin talks
The suspension of all London tin trading, which has entered its eighth week, will remain up to and including December 20, the chief executive of the London Metal Exchange, Mr Michael Brown, said after a joint meeting of the LME board and committee. The board and committee would meet on the morning of December 20 to “make a further decision” concerning the market. Tug-of-war The lawnmower manufacturer and engineer, Masport, Ltd, is set for a tug of war between Brierley Investments, Ltd, and Rainbow Corp, Ltd. The Examiner of Commercial Practices has given consent for Brierley to acquire up to 50 per cent of Masport and consented to Rainbow acquiring up to 100 per cent of Masport.
