Folk band concert
A Scottish folk band, the House Band, ,will give a concert at the' State Trinity. Theatre in Christchurch on Sunday evening. . The 8 p.m: concert is the first of several the band will give while in the South Island on tour. It will also perform in Christchurch on Wednesday as part of the Summertimes programme. The band consists of four musicians who play a blend of traditional (Northumbrian pipes, melodeon flute and mandolin) and contemporary (electric piano, synthesisers and electric guitar). The . musicians are Ged Foley, James Mackenzie Young, lain Macleod, and Christopher Parkinson.
