DB has recently installed a Hewlett Packard mainframe-computer running approximately 40 on-line terminals utilising a fully integrated database. The EDP Supervisor will ba based in Christchurch and will report to the Regional Systems Manager. Responsibilities will include: • Day to day operation of the computer system within the Southern Region • Maintenance functions for software and hardware • Back-up and aging functions • Additional accounting tasks Ideally applicants will have completed or nearly completed a commerce degree majoring in Accountancy, Operations Research or Computer Science.
