The appointee should be eligible for specialist registration in general medicine, but a specialist interest in one of the medical sub-specialties would be desirable and would be encouraged. The appointment is part-time on an 8/10ths sessional basis. Private practice will be allowed and there is good scope for private, practice in Rotorua. Consideration could be given to the appointment being whole time for a short period.
