Nine qualify at Ashburton

Six pacers - and three trotters qualified in the Chertsey Trotting Club trials held in ideal conditions at Ashburton on Thursday. There would surely have been a seventh if Dreamy Guy had not run off halfway down the straight In the qualified section, the trotter, Game Sparkle, and pacers Sir Tact, Menorlue, Cotton On, Hemihana and Even Key all impressed in their work-outs.
