Cleo Stefanou wearing the Summer Times “sun suit” which will become a familiar sight in Christchurch during the next few weeks. Members of the Summer Times team will make frequent appearances in the suit throughout the programme, which was opened with a lunchtime concert in Cathedral Square on Wednesday. The lunchtime concerts will be a regular part of Summer Times, which is a programme of free recreational events and entertainment co-ordinated by the Christchurch City Council. Highlights will include such old favourites as the Teddy Bears’ Picnic and the Country Fair, and new events such as an Intergalactic Gala. Summer Times will end on February 16.
