Verdicts given in armed raid case
After deliberating for more than five hours, a jury in the High Court last evening returned the following verdicts on charges arising from an armed raid by John Terence Mason, aged 22, a farm labourer, and Michael Edward Norman, aged 23, a gardener • Both guilty on a charge of robbing Cameron Gordon Macllquham of $220 while armed with a rifle.
• Mason guilty of unlaw-
fully detaining Cameron Macllquham without his consent. • Both not guilty of kidnapping Sandra Lee Norman and Brian Gregory O’Donnell. • Both guilty of injuring O’Donnell. They were remanded in custody by Mr Justice Cook for sentence on December 19. Earlier report, page 4
