Spaniard gets 20 years jail
NZPA-Reuter Jakarta A Court on the island of Bali has jailed a Spaniard for 20 years for possessing drugs — the stiffest sentence handed down to a tourist in Indonesia, the official Antara News Agency said yesterday. Antonio Viderota Yorda, from Barcelona, was found guilty by a Court in Denpasar of possessing 146 grams of heroin and 3.5 grams of marijuana. It was the harshest sentence given to a foreign tourist since authorities in Bali cracked down on drug abuse by holidaymakers.
