Search may be stopped
PA Wanganui A search on Mount Ruapehu for a missing Raetihi boy, aged 11, may be called off if no trace is found of him by late today, according to the Wanganui police search co-ordinator, SeniorSergeant Nigel Mcßae. The missing boy, John William Brough, became separated from a group of six scouts and two supervisors at about 11 a.m. last Sunday, while returning from Lake Surprise.
