Fraser co-chairman
NZPA-AAP London' The Commonwealth Secretary-General, Sir Shridath Ramphal, has announced the names of the “eminent persons” who, with the former Australian Prime Minister, Mr Malcolm Fraser, will form a group to encourage political dialogue in South Africa. Mr Fraser and Lieuten-ant-General Olusegin
Obasanjo, a former Nigerian head of State, will be co-chairmen of the group. The seven-member group was formed on the basis of proposals made by the various heads of Government during the C.H.O.G.M. meeting in the Bahamas. The other members are Lord Barber of Wentbridge, a former United Kingdom
Government Minister and chairman of the Standard Chartered Bank; Dame Nita Barrow, a president of the World Council of Churches; Mr John Malecela, a'former Tanzanian Government Minister; Sardar Swaran Singh, a former Indian Government Minister, and the Most Rev?xArchbishop Edward Scott, Primate orthe Anglican Church of Canada.
