... or perhaps a T-shirt pillow
To make use of an old favourite T-shirt, why not make it into a pillow?
You will need: T-shirt, either white or decorated
A piece of cardboard Marker pens (permanent colours if possible; watercolours might run when washed.) Needle Thread Stuffing (foam rubber from old pillows, old pantyhose) Method: 1. Slip a piece of cardboard inside the T-shirt. This will keep the ink from
“bleeding” through the shirt.
2. Decorate the shirt, front and back, with the marker pens. Use as many colours as you like. Draw names or pictures, whatever you like.
3. Remove the cardboard.
4. Using needle or thread, or with a parent’s permission and guidance, a sewingmachine, sew shut the neck and arm openings. 5. Stuff through the bottom until your “pillow” is firm.
6. Stitch the bottom hem closed: It will look neater if you turn the edges inside first.
