Market survey for Govt

PA Wellington A market research survey will be conducted soon to find out just what the public knows about legislation. The Government needed to know whether legislation was available when it was needed, whether its format was suitable and how the Government Printing Office could improve its service, said the Minister in Charge of the Government Printing Office, Mr Palmer. Possible developments included a computer data base of legislation and a tele-text facility. But at a more basic level, there was a need to know how access could be improved, whether through libraries or by further extending the distribution network, he said.

- A Wellington company ' will conduct an investigation of marketing legislation among community sectors, members of Parliament, Government departments and industry and professional groups.
