Accounting scholarships
Three Christchurch seventh formers have been awarded accounting scholarships for 1986.
They are Gillian Hudson and Michael King, of Papanui High School, and Craig Free, of St Andrew’s College. All will begin bachelor of commerce degrees at the University of Canterbury next year. The scholarships are awarded annually by the accountancy firm, Lawrence, , Anderson, Buddle, and provide an annual grant for three years as well as the guarantee of a position as a chartered accountant with the firm on completion of the degree. More than 30 students in 15 schools in Canterbury applied for the scholarships.
