Wheat price
The Wheat Board’s nominated wheat price has fallen another $8 to $232 a tonne for the coming week. A SUS 4 a tonne rise in the quoted price of Australian standard white wheat during the last five days was not enough to arrest the decline in the board’s nominated price brought about by the steadily rising value of the New Zealand dollar.
The A.S.W. price was RUSI34 yesterday and the New Zealand dollar was worth 0.5750 United States cents, leading to a daily nominated wheat price in New Zealand of $233. The weekly average was $232.
