Life insurance
Sir, — I am in full agreement with views expressed in this column about the Bank of New Zealand insurance advertising feature on television. The statement that insurance agents pressure sell just to survive certainly does not apply to my husband, who is a warm and considerate human being, believing fully in his product. I have yet to meet a client of his wbo has not been warm and friendly towards both of us when met in the street. These “money hungry” people may exist in the insurance world, but I have yet to meet one. Yet I know of many people unable to buy homes because of high mortgage interest rates. Who is the Bank of New Zealand to tell us that other sectors of society are “money hungry?” — Yours, etc., (Mrs) RONA DEVINE. October 10, 1985.
[The Bank of New Zealand may reply if It wishes to do so, otherwise this correspondence is closed.—Editor]
