TV interests
Mr Rupert Murdoch has placed the control of his Australian television interests in the hands of a new company with four independent directors on becoming a United States citizen. He relinquished direct control of his Australian television interests to satisfy foreign ownership regulations that now apply to Mr Murdoch as a United States citizen. The four independent directors are the chairman of the Myer Emporium, Mr Bailieu Myer; the chairman of Coulson Group, Mr George Lim; the deputy chairman of Schroder Darling, Mr Richard Griffin; and the managing director of MacMillan Company, Mr Brian Stonier.
