The Canterbury Country rugby champion-of-cham-pions, Culverden-Waiau, just salvaged an unbeaten record in a play-off for the second half of the season North Canterbury and Hurunui combined championship at Rangiora yesterday. Culverden-Waiau just
saved the day with a last minute try to draw with Kaiapoi 10-10. This was the second year in succession Kaiapoi has drawn the play-off. Culver-den-Waiau and Kaiapoi will now share the Hunnibell Trophy and the runner-up prize, the Alex Mclntosh Trophy.
