Crash victim seriously ill
A young Christchurch woman is seriously ill in the intensive-care unit at Christchurch Hospital after a car accident in Idris Road early yesterday. The woman, Melinda Browne, aged 20, of Hoon Hay, was trapped for 30 minutes and had to be freed by firemen after her car and another car collided at the corner of Idris Road and Snowden Road. She suffered serious leg injuries in the accident, which happened about 2.30 a.m.
