NZPA Nukualofa i New Zealand remained ‘ opposed to any establish- i ment of a Soviet fishing base in the South Pacific, i said the Prime Minister, Mr ; was fundamental concern about the establish-
ment of any base facility. “That must be the critical issue” Mr Lange said he knew of no proposal in the Pacific to establish a Soviet fishing base, but New Zealand would be opposed to any establishment.
