Third in this race two years ago after leading for long way. Runner-up in Australian Grand National last month. Beaten off in last week's Koral Steeplechase. D. Ran Crown Star close in Koral and won on his home course last month. S. Jenkins Colours: Royal blue, grey sleeves, pink sash and cap. 8 3131 CROWN STAR 8 57.5 Br g 7 yrs by Crown Lease—Quasar, trained at Cambridge by Mrs A. and K. S. Browne. Showed high courage in battling to his win in Koral, his third victory in five starts over country. Should pose problems for those above him in the weights. K. S. Browne Colours: Brown, red armbands and cap. 9 8245 MASTER BIJOU 6 57.0 B g 9 yrs by Noble Bijou—Miss Winks, trained at Waimate by A. W. Cousins. Ran Bymai close at Washdyke earlier in winter, but recent runs not encouraging. S. Smith Colours: Purple, blue and mauve striped braces and quartered cap. Scratched: Battle On.
