' A record number of entries have been received for the Air New Zealand Alpine Trophy race, the first New Zealand ski-ing circuit race of the season, to be held at Mt Hutt this week-end. A total of 25 women and 59 men have entered the race which will begin with giant slalom on Saturday and conclude with the slalom on Sunday. Top New Zealand skiers, Kate Rattray and Graham Goodwin, both of Canter-
bury, will team up with fellow New Zealand A team skiers, Christine Grant (Queenstown) and Simon Wi Rutene (Rotorua), for the event. The entire New Zealand B team will be competing as will a 23-strong contingent from Southern Districts and five skiers from the North Island. The Southern Districts contingent includes three Canadian skiers who are training in New Zealand.
