Woman aged 105 dies
PA Nelson Nelson’s oldest resident. Miss Eva Alice Baigent. has died in the Joan Whiting Memorial Hospital, Collingwood. She was 105.
Miss Baigent, who lived all her life in Golden Bay. spent most of it at the family home at Takaka. For the last three years she lived at the hospital. She celebrated her 105th birthday on June 5 with a family lunch at the home of her nephew, Mr Ray of Takaka.
