Killing to resume
PA Tauranga Killing at the Auckland Farmers Freezing Company’s Rangiuru plant near Te Puke will resume tomorrow after a two-week stoppage. Employees called a strike after a colleague was sacked for alleged poor attendance. They said that this was
contrary to an agreement reached’ between the company and the union last year. The works manager, Mr Jim Gardner, said that the employees had voted yesterday morning to return to work. The man dismissed had not been reinstated, he said.
