Dog mauls goats?
A dog is believed to be responsible for the fatal mauling of two pet Angora goats on a property in St Albans on Thursday night. The owner of the goats, Mr Peter Rae, found them lying dead at the back of his property, in Champion Street, yesterday morning.
The animals, a billy goat and a nanny, both about a year old, had their abdomens ripped open.
Mr Rae said that the goats were valued about $lOOO in total. He believes that one or more dogs attacked the goats, although he did not hear any noise.
