Chch glider pilot slips
,PA Wellington Christchurch glider pilot, Ray I nyskey, moved within 15 points of the leader, Switzerland’s Klaus Blatter, on the third day of the world gliding championships at Rieti, Italy. Although closing on Blatter, Lynskey slipped from second to third over all in the open class.
In the racing class, Terry De Lore (Canterbury) and Bruce Drake (Canterbury) are twenty-second and thirtieth respectively, while Peter Lyons of Hawke’s Bay is twenty-third in the standard class The championships, which are being held north-east of Rome, last for a fortnight.
