This is a senior management position, and the appointee will be a member of the polytechnic’s Management Committee and Academic Board. Applicants should therefore have demonstrated leadership qualities, and have the abilities to lead a team of tutors in the development of a comprehensive nursing programme and associated courses and seminars. Extensive nursing experience with appropriate qualifications will be necessary, while teaching experience at the tertiary level would be an advantage. The appointee will be able to provide professional leadership and handle a heavy administrative workload, while maintaining good relationships with hospital boards and other health service agencies. This is an opportunity to work at an expanding metropolitan polytechnic which has recently commenced a major rebuilding programme. Current salary for the position is $33,094.
