There has been a 30 per cent increase in the number of firms, departments and other organisations using “Akaroa Village” for meetings and seminars. Akaroa Village director, Carol Ilton, said: “Busy people want to get away from their office telephones. It takes little more than an hour to get over to Akaroa.” Conference facilities at “Akaroa Village” are best for groups of 10-60.
