Golder going well
PA Auckland Aucklander, Sue Golder, is continuing her brilliant form in road cycling events in the United States, according to reports received here. After winning the two-day Indian Peaks classic from Boulder, Colorado, she finished second to Olympic women’s road cycling silver
medallist, Rebecca Twigg of the United States, in the first stage of the eight-day tour of Idaho on Monday. In a desperate sprint finish to the 80km stage, Twigg edged Golder by just 10cm. The 1985 United States women’s road champion Robin Baughton, was third.
