Mrs Hercus faces questions from police
The Minister of Police, Mrs Hercus, can expect to face lively questioning when she addresses members of the Christchurch branch of the Police Association tomorrow. The branch has asked Mrs Hercus to address members at its annual meeting at the Christchurch Central Police
Station. The meeting is expected to be closed to reporters. Mrs Hercus is likely to be asked a number of questions about police staffing levels, working conditions and pay. Staff in Christchurch have this year become increasingly dissatisfied with their conditions of work.
