Shooting sides named
The Christchurch smallbore rifle shooting team to compete in the annual Faulkner Shield interassociation meeting at Gore on July 27 has been announced.
Competition consists of two 10-shot matches. University is the best represented club in the team of 10, with three marksmen selected. The Paparua club provides the captain, in Archie Still. The team is: Still, I. Pottinger, J. A. Nealee, Mrs J. Mackenzie, R. E. Taylor, G. McKay, R. Proudlock, R. Mitchell, Mrs P. Burgess and Mrs J. I. Neale. Emergencies: B. Waters and D. Dellow. The Christchurch team to compete in the Empire Cities’ postal shoot on July 20 has been selected. Wellington and Auckland have also entered the international contest.
