Burnside residents oppose bus stop
Residents in Burnside Crescent do not want a bus terminal in their street. A petition, of 126 signatures, opposing shifting the bus terminal from outside the service station in Kendal Avenue to the crescent, was presented to the committee last evening. A spokesman for the petitioners, Mr G. D. Russell, said that the main concerns were the narrowness of the street, potential traffic hazards, noise, fumes, and the numbers of children crossing the street. They recommended the bus terminal outside the Kendal Avenue park, away from both houses and shops.
