Sales can be a trap
Wool sales are tempting and lately there have been some bargains especially for those not too fussy about colour. Wool on sale is often ideal for knitting an uncomplicated pattern to get a jersey, cardigan or vest for everyday use. However, a warning should go with all wool on sale — while you are buying reasonably cheaply it is a good ideal to add a little more to the cost for a few extra balls. If you run out and return to the shop for another you will be disappointed. If your are in this predicament find a similar wool and try putting in a stripe in the contrast colour to make up the extra ball. The other alternative is to buy the wool, knit very quickly in case you don’t have enough and get back to the shop within a few days before it is all sold.
