Fulcher hearing set for Monday
NZPA-AAP Sydney A challenge to an extradition order against the convicted “Mr Asia” drug-ring associate, Peter Fulcher, will be heard in the Supreme Court in Sydney on Monday. Mr Justice Wood yesterday stood the matter over after Fulcher’s solicitor, Mr Charles Goldberg, called for a review of a magistrate’s extradition order.
The Magistrate, Mr Bruce Power, directed Fulcher’s extradition to New Zealand at a hearing at Glebe Court in Sydney on Monday. * Fulcher, aged 45, is wanted by the New Zealand police for questioning about five alleged offences ranging from possession of heroin to armed robbery. Mr Justice Wood said the matter would take the form of a rehearing rather than an appeal.
