Deferred sentence for anti-tour protester
PA Auckland Yells of “Kill, kill, kill” came from a crowd of 40,000 at Eden Park, an anti-tour protester arrested there told a judge. Bill Bradford, aged 32, unemployed, of Mount Albert, admitted a charge of disorderly behaviour and was convicted on Monday in the District Court at Auckland. The police said that Brad-
ford was arrested as he attempted to climb a barrier fence at Saturday’s rugby test match. Bradford, who told Judge Brown that he was opposed to the All Black rugby tour of South Africa, said the crowd had yelled “Kill, kill, kill.” TheTJudge ordered Bradford w come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months.
