Botham shakes Australia
NZPA-Reuter London The Australians were shaken by lan Botham’s irresistible all-round form as they moved close to victory over England on the compelling fourth day of the second cricket test at Lord’s yesterday. Botham dispatched Andrew Hilditch without scoring and fellow opener Graeme Wood for six to become England’s top test wicket-taker with 326 victims. Fast bowler Paul Allott dealt a further blow by uprooting Greg Ritchie’s off stump when he had made two and Australia, 46 for three at the close, need a further 81 on the final day today to level the six-match series 1-1.
